“‘I used to tease Barack that he had Jewish blood,” said Miner. The connections to Judaism run even closer to home: Michelle Obama’s second cousin converted to Judaism, was ordained a rabbi, and runs a Chicago congregation made up largely of black converts to Judaism.
Similarly, on April 16, 2008, the Los Angeles Times ran a headline, “Barack Obama Claims Jewish Kinship” after he told an audience, “My links to the Jewish community are not political. They preceded my entry into politics.”
Obama’s closest confidante, Valerie Jarrett, is the protege of Marilyn Katz, a Jewish security provider for the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). According to scholar Arthur Liebman, 46 percent of all SDS delegates in the 1960s were Jewish, with five of nine presidents being Jewish.
Katz introduced Jarrett to Daniel Levin (Jewish) who gave her a real estate job, whereupon she worked with Obama’s bagman, convicted felon Tony Rezko. Katz also founded the New American Movement (which included the Communist Party USA) with Rabbi Michael Lerner.
In regard to the president, one of Katz’s clients, Project Vote (an ACORN affiliate), brought Obama to Chicago. She also introduced Obama at his first nationwide anti-war speech on Oct. 2, 2002; then served on his finance committee and as a bundler during the 2008 presidential race.
Further, Katz has known Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers (a disciple of the SDS) for over 40 years. Ayers is married to fellow Weather Underground member Bernadine Dohrn (Jewish), and served with Obama on the Woods Fund (which provided a major expansion in funding to ACORN). Ayers also arranged for Walter and Leonore Annenberg (Jewish) to name Obama to be the first chairman of the prestigious Annenberg Foundation in 1995.
Similarly, Valerie Jarrett’s mother ran the Erickson Institute, where one of the board members was Tom Ayers, father of Bill Ayers. Bernadine Dohrn also served on this board.
Fellow Weather Underground founder Jeff Jones is married to Eleanor Stein (Jewish), and was credited by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid for writing most of the recent “stimulus bill” via the Apollo Alliance. Jones also served with Van Jones, a self-avowed Communist, in this same organization.
Then, none other than Valerie Jarrett brought Van Jones into the Obama cabinet. She boasted at the Daily Kos conference on Aug. 15, “We have been watching Van Jones for some years and are so delighted to recruit him into the White House.”
In addition, Jarrett hired Michelle Robinson (Obama—the couple married in 1992) in 1991 to work in Mayor Richard Daley’s office; then opened doors for the couple to enter Chicago’s most liberal social circles.
Another influential member of Obama’s Cabinet with close ties to Jarrett is senior adviser David Axelrod (Jewish). Jarrett first hired him at the Urban Health Institute, and then longtime Democratic insider Betty Lu Saltzman (Jewish) introducedAxelrod to Obama in 1992. Axelrod’s two mentors were journalist/activists Don Rose and David S. Canter, both Jewish. Rose held membership in a Communist Party organization labeled the Alliance to End Repression, while their president and directors were Richard Criley, Abe Feinglass, Jack Spiegel and Norman Roth, all Jewish. Rose also knew Marilyn Katz quite well through the SDS, and the newspaper he owned pushed Marxist causes while also promoting Abner Mikva, one of Obama’s early Jewish mentors. Not to be outdone, his partner’s father, Harry J. Canter, acted as secretary of Boston’s Communist Party.
The extent of this collaboration between various questionable factions in Chicago is reflected in the comments of Rabbi Arnold Wolf (who died in 2008), a Democratic Socialist. “We had a party for [Obama] at our house when he was just starting back in the 1990s. I said right away: ‘[H]ere’s a guy who could sell our product, and sell it with splendor.’”

JAFFA, Israel – A blog posting on Sen. Barack Obama's official campaign site urged Americans to take action to secure the release of imprisoned terrorist fundraiser Sami Al-Arian, comparing the controversial former professor to Martin Luther King and Malcolm X.
The posting, which has been removed since publication of this story, is just a sampling of a large volume of racist, anti-Semitic and pro-Palestinian rhetoric published on the user-friendly MyObama community blog pages. The Obama campaign does not monitor all blog material, which is posted by registered users, but says it removes offending posts that are brought to the attention of the administrators.
In a blog post on Obama's site titled, "We are all Palestinians," user Ulf Erlingsson lamented what he called the "harsh" conditions of Al-Arian's imprisonment – explaining he "lives in segregation … is not allowed any visitors and is given only two phone calls a month."
The posting quoted Agha Saeed, chair of the American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and Elections, comparing Al-Arian to King and Malcom X, who "symbolized the struggle for human rights in the fifties and sixties. Dr. Sami Al-Arian has come to symbolize the current struggle for human rights."
Al-Arian was also labeled an "internationally recognized political prisoner."
The readers of Obama's site were called upon to "take urgent action. Just 3 phone calls and 1 E-mail to make a difference."

Obama Planning U.S. Trials for Guantanamo Detainees
President-elect Barack Obama’s advisers are quietly crafting a proposal to ship dozens, if not hundreds, of imprisoned terrorism suspects to the United States to face criminal trials, a plan that would make good on his promise to close the Guantanamo Bay prison but could require creation of a controversial new system of justice.
During his campaign, Obama described Guantanamo as a “sad chapter in American history” and has said generally that the U.S. legal system is equipped to handle the detainees. But he has offered few details on what he planned to do once the facility is closed.
Under plans being put together in Obama’s camp, some detainees would be released and many others would be prosecuted in U.S. criminal courts.

Barack Hussein Osama (sorry, where I said Osama read Obama, I tend to confuse them) he closed Guantanamo prison, stopped the military tribunal for the 9/11 terrorists, closed all the CIA prisons and interrogations on terrorism around the world. The questions are: Who are the beneficiaries? Answer: the Muslim terrorists. Who are the injured? Answer: The anguished families of those who died during the 9/11 terrorist attack, and the unprotected innocent American citizens that could perish on a future terrorist attack.
Oh, how I am missing President Bush. Never had a President done so much and so been so effective in protecting his citizens. And to think that over 70% disapproved his conduct. Bush represented the best of America while Obama represents trash. The president should only be there to keeps us safe, nothing else, not to spread the wealth. Let’s earn our wealth and keep it without government interference or help.
Sympathizer or not, we have a Muslim-American president removing many of the provisions that were successful in stopping another terrorist attack to our homeland during 2688 days. In a clear satire on various media scare stories, their cover depicts Obama as a radical Islamist – complete with Taliban clothing, portrait of Bin Laden and burning American flag. For good measure, his wife is depicted as a 1970s Black Power terrorist with an AK-47.
US media scaremongering about Obama has been scattered and absurd - in other words, absolutely rife for satirical mockery. John Stewart on The Daily Show has dubbed the phenomenon “Baracknaphobia”.

What is the meaning of this curious work of ‘art’? Does it seek to portray Obama as a Communist Pirate? As an EU freedom fighter, dabbling in the occult, yet blind to the plight of Africa? Perhaps the star on his beret is a mis-rendered star of David and we are meant to view Obama as a reincarnation of the legendary Israeli General Moshe Dayan. O'Reilly Interview: Obama's Muslim Brotherhood support questioned
The mainstream news media and the White House appear willing and able to successfully downplay the danger to the United States posed by the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood.
During his televised Super Bowl Sunday interview with Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly, President Barack Obama indulged in verbal gymnastics when questioned about the role of the radical terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood in the current political upheaval in Egypt, according to law enforcement and intelligence officers speaking to the Law Enforcement Examiner.
"For a man known for being verbose, Obama seems to be at a loss for words when speaking about national security or terrorism issues. When asked questions that can be answered with a simple yes or no, Obama does off on a tangent and his lack of clarity is chalked up to his being 'nuanced' or guarded," said former military intelligence officer and police detective Mike Snopes.
Walid Phares, director of the Future Terrorism Project at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, criticized the current White House/State Department's vague partnership concept: “Through the so-called ‘partnership’ between the Jihadi-sympathizer networks and U.S. bureaucracies, the U.S. government is [being surreptitiously] invaded by militant groups.”
Just recently, a Washington, DC-based legal group uncovered documents from the Department of Homeland Security that detail a two-day meeting on January 27 and 28, 2010, between DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and Arab, Muslim, Sikh, and South Asian “community leaders.”
Judicial Watch communications director Jill Farrell told theLaw Enforcement Examiner that her public-interest group obtained documents that include a list of participating individuals and organizations in Napolitano's meeting with individuals with controversial radical ties, including:
* Imad Hamad, Midwest Regional Director of the American Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. According to investigative reporter Debbie Schlussel, Hamad is connected to the Marxist-Leninist terrorist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and has financially supported the Islamist terrorist group Hezbollah. In a television interview in 2002 on Fox’s Detroit affiliate, Hamad supported a Palestine Authority TV program that urged children to become suicide bombers, calling the program “patriotic.”
* Salam Al-Marayati, Founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC): According to press reports, Al-Mayarati has long been criticized for his extremist views and statements. In 1999 former House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt (D-MO) withdrew his nomination of Al-Mayarati to the National Commission on Terrorism because of Al-Mayarati’s extremist politics. Al-Marayati once said, "When Patrick Henry said, 'Give me liberty or give me death,' that statement epitomized Jihad [Islamic holy war].”
One of the organizations that attended the meeting was the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which was created by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. * An internal DHS “talking points” document entitled “Community Stakeholder Meeting” that states: “Communicate that DHS understands the need for enhanced partnership with the Muslim, Sikh, South Asian and Arab groups, including those present at the meeting…You should note the importance of sharing information from a policy perspective and on threats to specific Muslim, Arab, South Asian, and Sikh communities.”
“I fail to see how consorting with radicals helps the DHS protect the United States,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.“The Obama administration is bending over backward to cater to radical Muslim organizations in the name of political correctness. This is a dangerous political game that could put American citizens at risk. Some of these meeting participants have no business helping Janet Napolitano establish our homeland security policies,” said terrorism expert and Fox News contributor Walid Phares.
Phares warned last year that this policy embraced by the Obama administration “is how American national security policy has been influenced” by Muslim groups, who are duping administration officials.

A leading international Arab newspaper has hailed U.S. President Barack Obama for officially removing the description “Muslim terrorist” as part of his campaign “to reach out to the Muslim world.” The op-ed did not note the radical Muslim bacgkround of the terrorists and reasoned they are equal to other terrorists whose religion is not connected with their acts.

Osman Mirghani, the deputy editor-in-chief of 'Al-Sharq Al-Awsat,' which is owned by a Saudi Arabian company and published in London, wrote an op-ed last week under the headline "Why Didn't Obama Mention Islam?." The Obama administration has broken from the Bush government’s policy of using the term “Islamic terrorism” in official documents and "no longer [is] responding to extremist voices" that call for targeting home countries of terrorists, he explained.
He said the president is carrying out his pledge in his “reaching out to Muslims speech” at Cairo University in June 2008. Regarding Obama's statements on the botched Times Square bombing, the editor praised President Obama for not once referring to prime suspect Faisal Shahzad’s being Muslim and for not “mentioning Islam in discussing the terrorist operation."
The same approach was taken after the failed Christmas Day bombing by Nigerian Muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmuttalib. “Obama spoke about the detained terrorist as a member of the Al-Qaeda organization but he did not speak about him being a Muslim,’ Mirghani wrote. “Even when he spoke about Al-Qaeda, Obama noted that it was not the first time that the network had targeted America, ignoring the links that were made in the past between the organization and Islam or when it was put in the context of 'Islamic extremism.'"
Similarly, after the Fort Hood, Texas attack by a Muslim terrorist who murdered 13 people last November, “President Obama 'cautioned against jumping to conclusions’” and did not refer to the terrorist's Arab origin or religion.
The article did not mention that most, if not all, Arab terrorists are indoctrinated by Muslim extremism. Instead, the editor argued that describing terrorists as Muslims actually provokes more terror. “There is recognition today of the fact that terrorists are benefiting from the creation of an anti-Islamic and anti-Muslim atmosphere after any terrorist operation, and that issuing statements or taking steps that target Muslims employed by extremist groups further spreads hostility against the U.S., the West, and even moderate Islamic states,” he reasoned.
Th writer argued that “the identity of the terrorist does not necessarily implicate the country he belongs to, in the same way that other adherents of the religion the terrorist follows should not be condemned."
He accused former President George W. Bush of being “captive to the Big Stick policy and slogans of 'you're either with us or against us,' which caused the popularity of the U.S. to wane, not only in the Islamic world but in numerous countries around the world." In contrast, he continued, “The new president has extended his hand to the Islamic world,… and the tendency to link every terrorist operation to the religion of the perpetrator has disappeared.”

In his book, Dreams From My Father, Obama admits developing a close relationship, “almost like a son,” with Davis in 1977, whom he repeatedly refers to as “Frank.” Writing about attending “socialist conferences” and coming into contact with Marxist literature, Obama reminisces of listening to Frank’s “poetry” and getting advice on his career path.
One particular piece of Marxist literature, Rules for Radicals, penned by the Chicago Marxist Jew, Saul Alinsky, had oft been quoted by Obama in campaign speeches during his run for a State Senate seat in Illinois in 1996.
Obama’s embrace of the ideology of Saul Alinsky began when he was 24 years old, unmarried, very accustomed to a vagabond existence, and according to his memoirs, Dreams From My Father, was searching for a genuine African-American community.
White leftists of the Developing Communities Project of Chicago were looking for someone who could recruit in a black neighborhood in the south side of Chicago. Obama answered their Help-Wanted ad and soon took up a paid position as a community organizer. The Developing Communities Project was built on the Alinsky model of community agitation, wherein paid organizers learned how to “rub raw the sores of discontent.”
“The agitator’s job,” according to Alinsky, “is first to bring folks to the realization that they are indeed miserable, that their misery is the fault of unresponsive governments and greedy corporations, then help them to bond together to demand what they think they deserve.”
As a confirmed atheist, Alinsky saw an opportunity to cynically spread his socialist ideology in already-formed church communities as being the perfect springboards for agitation and creating bonds for their demands.
WHEN OBAMA FIRST UNDERTOOK HIS AGITATION WORK, he was un-churched. The Democratic Socialists of America is the principal US affiliate of the Socialist International, which enjoys a “consultative status” with the United Nations. When young Gyorgy Schwartz enrolled at the Fabian socialist London School of Economics in 1949 he changed his surname to Soros. At the London School of Economics he became friends with Marxist philosopher Sir Karl Popper, founder of the Association of Socialist School Students and author of the 1945 book, The Open Society And Its Enemies.
In 1956, in an “open society” of America, of which Soros now wishes to expand into a “borderless society,” young George Soros arrived on Wall Street with $5,000 and quickly demonstrated a Jewish “knack” for investing other people’s money.

The impact of the financial crisis on the American presidential election has somewhat obscured the most important reason why the prospect of an Obama presidency is giving so many people nightmares. This is the fear that, if he wins, US defences will be emasculated at a time of unprecedented international peril and the enemies of America and the free world will seize their opportunity to destroy the west.
Personally, I don’t give any credence to the ‘support’ for one candidate over the other that has been expressed by the enemies of civilisation (Iran and Hamas ‘support’ Obama, while an al Qaeda blogger ‘supports’ McCain). Their agenda is simply to sow confusion and promote American recriminations and disarray. Nor do I set much store by many of the remarks made by either candidate during the latter stages of this election campaign, since under this kind of pressure both will now say pretty much anything to win it. The New York Times has run a useful analysis of the candidates’ foreign policy campaign statements which shows how Obama has carefully tacked to the ‘hard power’ agenda while McCain has in turn nodded towards ‘soft power’.
No, the only way to assess their position is to look at each man in the round, at what his general attitude is towards war and self-defence, aggression and appeasement, the values of the west and those of its enemies and – perhaps most crucially of all – the nature of the advisers and associates to whom he is listening. As I have said before, I do not trust McCain; I think his judgment is erratic and impetuous, and sometimes wrong. But on the big picture, he gets it. He will defend America and the free world whereas Obama will undermine them and aid their enemies.
Here’s why. McCain believes in protecting and defending America as it is. Obama tells the world he is ashamed of America and wants to change it into something else. McCain stands for American exceptionalism, the belief that American values are superior to tyrannies. Obama stands for the expiation of America’s original sin in oppressing black people, the third world and the poor.
Obama thinks world conflicts are basically the west’s fault, and so it must right the injustices it has inflicted. That’s why he believes in ‘soft power’ — diplomacy, aid, rectifying ‘grievances’ (thus legitimising them, encouraging terror and promoting injustice) and resolving conflict by talking. As a result, he will take an axe to America’s defences at the very time when they need to be built up. He has said he will ‘cut investments in unproven missile defense systems’; he will ‘not weaponize space’; he will ‘slow our development of future combat systems’; and he will also ‘not develop nuclear weapons,’ pledging to seek ‘deep cuts’ in America’s arsenal, thus unilaterally disabling its nuclear deterrent as Russia and China engage in massive military buildups.
McCain understands that an Islamic war of conquest is being waged on a number of diverse fronts which all have to be seen in relation to each other. For Obama, however, the real source of evil in the world is America. The evil represented by Iran and the Islamic jihadists is apparently all America’s fault. ‘A lot of evil’s been perpetuated based on the claim that we were fighting evil,’ he said. Last May, he dismissed Iran as a tiny place which posed no threat to the US -- before reversing himself the very next day when he said Iran was a great threat which had to be defeated. He has also said that Hezbollah and Hamas have ‘legitimate grievances’. Really? And what might they be? Their grievances are a) the existence of Israel b) its support by America c) the absence of salafist Islam in the world. Does Obama think these ‘grievances’ are legitimate?
To solve world conflict, Obama places his faith in the UN club of terror and tyranny, which is currently fuelling the murderous global demonisation of Israel for having the temerity to defend itself and is even now preparing for a rerun of its own anti-Jew hate-fest of Durban 2, which preceded 9/11 by a matter of days.
McCain understands that Israel is the victim rather than the victimiser in the Middle East, that it is surrounded by genocidal enemies whose undiminished intention is to destroy it as a Jewish state, and that is both the first line of defence against the Islamist attack on the free world and its most immediate and important target.
Obama dismisses the threat from Islamism, shows zero grasp of the strategic threat to the region and the world from the encirclement of Israel by Iran, displays a similar failure to grasp the strategic importance of Iraq, thinks Israel is instead the source of Arab and Muslim aggression against the west, believes that a Palestinian state would promote world peace and considers that Israel – particularly through the ‘settlements’ – is the principal obstacle to that happy outcome. Accordingly, Obama has said he wants Israel to return to its 1967 borders – actually the strategically indefensible 1948 cease-fire line, known accordingly as the ‘Auschwitz borders’.
Obama would thus speak to Iran’s genocidal mullahs without preconditions on his side (the same mullahs have now laid down their own preconditions for America: pull all US troops out of the Middle East, and abandon support for ‘Zionist’ Israel) but has said he would have problems dealing with an Israeli government headed by a member of Israel’s Likud Party. In similar vein, it is notable that Obama opposed the congressional resolution labelling the Iranian Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization, which passed the Senate by a wide margin with support from both parties. And had he had his way, there would have been no ‘surge’ in Iraq and America would instead have run up the white flag, with the incalculable bloodbath and strengthening of the jihad that would have followed.
Obama assumes that Islamic terrorism is driven by despair, poverty, inflammatory US policy and the American presence on Muslim soil in the Persian Gulf. Thus he adopts the agenda of the Islamists themselves. This is not surprising since many of his connections suggest that that the man who may be elected President of a country upon which the Islamists have declared war is himself firmly in the Islamists’ camp. Daniel Pipes lists Obama’s extensive connections to Islamists in general and the Nation of Islam in particular, and concludes with this astounding observation:
Obama's multiple links to anti-Americans and subversives mean he would fail the stThe hatred that these Islamist connections entertain towards Israel is reflected amongst Obama’s own advisers. The former Carter adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, for example, not only denounced Israel’s war against Hezbollah thus:
I think what the Israelis are doing today [2006] for example in Lebanon is in effect– maybe not in intent – the killing of hostagesbut also supports Mearsheimer and Walt’s notorious smear that the Jews have subverted America’s foreign policy in the interests of Israel. Merrill McPeak, vice chairman of Obama’s campaign and his chief military adviser, has similarly blamed problems in the Middle East on the influence of people who live in New York City and Miami (guess who) whom no ‘politician wants to run against’ and who he says exercise undue influence on America’s foreign affairs. Most revolting of all is Samantha Power, a very close adviser whom Obama fired for calling Hillary a ‘monster’ but who says she still expects to be in Obama’s administration. Not only has Power has advocated the ending of all aid to Israel and redirecting it to the Palestinians, but she has spoken about the need to land a ‘mammoth force’ of US troops in Israel to protect the Palestinians from Israeli attempts at genocide (sic) -- and has complained that criticism of Barack Obama all too often came down to what was ‘good for the Jews’.
There are, alas, many in the west for whom all this is music to their ears. Whether through wickedness, ideology, stupidity or derangement, they firmly believe that the ultimate source of conflict in the world derives at root from America and Israel, whose societies, culture and values they want to see emasculated or destroyed altogether. One of the most cumbersome things a lawyer will ever do besides taking the bar exam is filling out the bar application. The applications, for pretty much every state, are long, burdensome, invasive, and require several trips down memory lane.In my application, I had to file a name affidavit because I have a hyphenated first name, but some legal documents have the second part of my first name as my middle name or part of a hyphenated last name.
I had a friend in law school who got a lot of parking tickets and had to get records from campus police to be able to document them all.
The Bar, you see, is concerned about a person's character and a person's propensity to run roughshod over the legal system. How one comports oneself with respect to following the law says a lot about how that person will act as a lawyer.
I'm glad I went to law school in Georgia. Places like California, Illinois, New York, and Virginia have very tough bar exams and generally very tough applications processes.
I go through all of this because of a Jim Geraghty post today.
Barack Obama received 17 parking tickets while he was at Harvard between 1988 and 1991. He paid them in 2007, back when reporters started digging into these small things.
Barack Obama was admitted to the Illinois Bar in December of 1991 and had to answer, on his bar application, "Do you have any outstanding parking violations?"
What did he say then? By 2007, he claimed to have totally forgotten about the tickets. Did he forget in 1991 or just decide it was no big deal.
Obama has a propensity not to sweat the small stuff. It is, however, the small stuff, the bacteria, that accumulates, spreads, and eventually takes down a candidate or a President.
Given Barack Obama's unwillingness to be candid, his unwillingness to disclose such things as his medical records, and his unwillingness to disassociate from people of bad character until the media or right wing bloggers demand it, we must wonder if he disclosed his tickets to the Illinois Bar.
And if he did disclose them, why didn't he pay them?
This is, admittedly, a small thing. But history is filled with small things undoing large and larger than life creatures. And the man who claims he works across aisles solely based on the Coburn-Obama government transparency legislation has thus far resisted most all transparency in his campaign, even of some rather small things.
Not paying parking tickets is a character issue and character does matter

The only real answer is "yes, but…" Yes he does, but only if it's your ox being gored. Yes he does but there is more to it than that. And if it's someone else's veritable Oxen the answer might still be "yes, but…"
Conservative radio host Michael Medved, for one, emphatically denies that Obama wants to "destroy the country." Medved employs the conventional logic that a politician that wants to be re-elected would not want to destroy the very nation that he has been elected to lead. That would make sense if only Obama were a conventional politician and if only Obama himself hadn't told ABC News, "I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president." That very sentence straight from this president's own mouth seems to shoot full of holes Medved's conventional logic.
Still, in a way, Medved has stumbled upon a certain amount of truth no matter how small. The problem is that what we really have here is a misunderstanding of concepts. The fact is, following his straight down the line, left-wing, anti-American, radical ideology, Obama does want to destroy the U.S.A. as it is now. But in his mind he is not trying to destroy America simply because he wants utter destruction and devastation to be the only outcome. You see, mere destruction isn't his end goal as those on the right fear. In his left-wing ideology, he thinks after America’s fall he and his left-wing comrades will be building a new and better U.S.A. Where real Americans see destruction and the end of everything, the leftists see a re-birth to a better and, in their eyes, more moral America. He and his left-wing friends see the U.S. as a Phoenix rising from the ashes of the bad old days.
Herein lies the problem. Where conservatives see only the end, liberals see the end and then a brand new beginning. Certainly the liberals are completely wrong in their contention that what they are doing will bring a glorious re-birth, but the truth is that they certainly don't think that they are ending the U.S. on a permanent basis nor is it their intention. Liberals are not in the game to be "evil." They think they are doing what is right.
Liberals think that the U.S. is arrogant and needs to be taken down a notch or three. Liberals think that U.S. history is filled with nothing but evil and any attacks on the U.S. are richly deserved. Liberals think that the U.S. was founded by evil, selfish, hateful white men who were only interested in their own power and didn’t want to empower others. So, liberals want the founder’s memory eviscerated. Liberals think that our capitalist system needs to be eliminated. In short, liberals value nothing about the U.S. except its tradition of self-actuation, liberty, and its freedom to re-make itself and they want to use that capacity to erase everything that makes the U.S.A. the U.S.A. Once that is done they want to build a U.S. to their own liking using the very freedoms they used to lay her low.
This is the aim of groups like the American Civil Liberties Union, Moveon.org, the Center for American Progress, Media Matters and other such extremist left-wing organizations. Even CAIR attempts to use America's freedoms as a weapon against her.
But, again, these liberals think they are doing a good thing. The problem is that they are utterly wrong. If this country treads the left-wing path, the U.S. will not emerge a winner. It will be laid low just like the left wants, but it will not rise again. The left's prescriptions will lead to our becoming a third world nation. And yet there is no doubt they really imagine they are doing good.
Like Medved, New York Times columnist David Brooks cannot understand this whole political reality. Brooks thinks that Obama and Democrats only tried too many things at once and that is why so many Americans are rising up against them. Apparently it was just an accident of scope, nothing but an act of overreach that frightened the voters. Otherwise, he sees the Democrats and Obama as your average, everyday American pols. He doesn't see a radical, destroy-America agenda in their efforts. In fact, he ridiculously seems to think that it is the right that somehow wants to destroy the country with a "government war" agenda -- a battle against all government. So, he sees both sides as in the wrong and his "centrist" position as the correct path.
What he simply can't understand is that conservatives are not wholly anti-government. They are all about the right amount of government, government when and where it is most needed and efficacious has always been the American right’s goal.
In fact it is liberals that have used government to destroy America. Liberals have used the courts to destroy religion. Liberals have used the schools to preach against American history. Liberals have used government to weaken economies and create a culture of dependence. Conservatives have not used government to do anything of the kind. In fact, even in the bad old days it was Democrats that tried to use government as a weapon against those that it wanted to keep down.
This is the culture from which Obama and the largest number of his party come. They see government and our freedoms as the perfect weapon with which to destroy what once was in order to make America into what they want it to be and it's an America that is radically different form what is always has been, what it was meant to be.
Yes, ordinary politicians wouldn’t want to destroy the country they were elected to lead and yes, ordinary pols would want to make sure they win the next election. But leftists like Obama think that they have this one small window to make the radical changes to this nation according to their ideological plan. Remember how they voted in Obamacare when the great majority disliked the policies? Remember how Democrats said we’d learn to like Obamacare anyway? This means that they don’t care if they lose elections in the short term. It is the obliteration of the old to be replaced by their new “improved” U.S.A. that is their actual goal, not anything as mundane as winning elections. - Placed nearly two thirds of a trillion dollars into a health reform reserve fund, which is the tip of the iceberg in the expectations of the cost of fully socialized medicine in America. Even the most unbiased observer has to recognize that Barack Hussein Obama's rise to the Presidency was more than a little skewed. After all, in the primaries he went up against Hillary Clinton who was about as much of a "slam dunk" candidate as the Democrats have fielded for decades, and it was he who got the nomination. Then the GOP, in a staggering misstep, nominated a man who could almost have been Obama's grandfather at a time when the nation was looking for youthful energy and change.
There was more than enough talk around the water cooler when Obama began to surge in the public consciousness of the "messianic spirit" that he used to rally crowds in his favor. There is no doubt that he is a brilliant orator, but his other-worldly "anointed one" persona was so vivid that even McCain based campaign ads on it.
At this point, this Hub can go off on the tangent of discussing the Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to the Irish Saint Malachy but more likely written by Nostradamus, and the correlation with Pope Benedict XVI who is the last pontiff in the line before Petrus Romanus presides over the end of civilization: "the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the terrible or fearsome Judge will judge his people..."
However, the direction of "keepin' it real" might better suit not alienating the secular reader, so let's do just that: "Let's keep it real."
Since Obama's nomination and election, the most prosperous country in the world has been devastated. Paul Volcker, the 81-year-old former chairman of the Federal Reserve said, "I don't remember any time, maybe even the Great Depression, when things went down quite so fast." Residential prices have never plummeted this much this quickly in the history of the nation, right from 1776 to the present day. Some of the century-old bulwarks of the country are shattered: General Motors, Chrysler, Lehman Brothers, the list grows by the day. Millions of Americans are homeless and that list is growing as well.
However, the Presidency of the "anointed one" has not just decimated the economic welfare of the country, but its very essence as a great democratic and free nation. As a lifelong American patriot (who happens to be a Canadian) I am profoundly offended by the sight of the President of the United States bowing to the Saudi king. I didn't take that as a denouement of Obama's "hidden Muslim" (as a Muslim who is not a slave need not bow to the Keeper Of The Great Holy Mosques), as much as I saw it in the words of the Washington Times editorial: "a shocking... protocol-breaking... display of fealty to a foreign potentate... befitting a king's subjects, not his peer."
Perhaps even worse is the cuddly handshake and warm words of friendship uttered yesterday with Hugo Chavez, a mad despot who has founded his power base on slapping America across the face. "Aww.. but now we're friends... isn't that nice?"
What's next? How about a fun afternoon of Holocaust denial and swastika wall painting with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Or maybe sharing some nice spicy kim chee from the same bowl as Kim Jong Il? (Watch out... he might be eying Bo's nice juicy hindquarters)...
Only the most naive person in the United States would consider that their President "could be friends" with these tyrants and autocrats. What is the basis for these friendships? If I start lobbing nuclear-capable missiles towards Alaska or Israel can I be your friend too, Barack?

I don't think the 44th President of the United States is a sociopath. Maybe Obama is a really nice guy with a very contorted bizarre Pollyannaish sense of economics and foreign statesmanship. Or maybe he's a cog in an invariable wheel of destiny which is leading us to a future that few can barely imagine, a world where America as a global power and an economic authority is nothing but a distant memory, and its people slide into the Third World morass of poverty and despair.
One thing I can assure you is that Obama is not the Anti-Christ. He's likely a really nice (but misguided) guy and doesn't have 666 etched into his skull.

At this point, this Hub can go off on the tangent of discussing the Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to the Irish Saint Malachy but more likely written by Nostradamus, and the correlation with Pope Benedict XVI who is the last pontiff in the line before Petrus Romanus presides over the end of civilization: "the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the terrible or fearsome Judge will judge his people..."
However, the direction of "keepin' it real" might better suit not alienating the secular reader, so let's do just that: "Let's keep it real."
Since Obama's nomination and election, the most prosperous country in the world has been devastated. Paul Volcker, the 81-year-old former chairman of the Federal Reserve said, "I don't remember any time, maybe even the Great Depression, when things went down quite so fast." Residential prices have never plummeted this much this quickly in the history of the nation, right from 1776 to the present day. Some of the century-old bulwarks of the country are shattered: General Motors, Chrysler, Lehman Brothers, the list grows by the day. Millions of Americans are homeless and that list is growing as well.
However, the Presidency of the "anointed one" has not just decimated the economic welfare of the country, but its very essence as a great democratic and free nation. As a lifelong American patriot (who happens to be a Canadian) I am profoundly offended by the sight of the President of the United States bowing to the Saudi king. I didn't take that as a denouement of Obama's "hidden Muslim" (as a Muslim who is not a slave need not bow to the Keeper Of The Great Holy Mosques), as much as I saw it in the words of the Washington Times editorial: "a shocking... protocol-breaking... display of fealty to a foreign potentate... befitting a king's subjects, not his peer."
Perhaps even worse is the cuddly handshake and warm words of friendship uttered yesterday with Hugo Chavez, a mad despot who has founded his power base on slapping America across the face. "Aww.. but now we're friends... isn't that nice?"
What's next? How about a fun afternoon of Holocaust denial and swastika wall painting with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Or maybe sharing some nice spicy kim chee from the same bowl as Kim Jong Il? (Watch out... he might be eying Bo's nice juicy hindquarters)...
Only the most naive person in the United States would consider that their President "could be friends" with these tyrants and autocrats. What is the basis for these friendships? If I start lobbing nuclear-capable missiles towards Alaska or Israel can I be your friend too, Barack?
