If 2 Black Brothers ruled the Heavyweight division as reigning Dominant Heavyweight Champions of the World with both brothers having Doctorates from respected universities they would both be on the cover of sports illustrated and Wheaties. Conversely, everyone would be screaming racism if such an incredible accomplishment were being ignored by all the media and sports programming. Opfrah would and her legions would know them by their first name and they would be used as role models. People in the Western civilized world just don’t understand the hardship and difficulty in growing up poor in the old Soviet Union. Would we not be saying ” only if they were white they would be household names as the savior incarnate of the great white hope “. The medias boycot of Klitschko’s fight against Chambers was an outrage. Even the Klitschko haters would secretly be watching had the fight been televised live. They can get away with their bias against boxing because they are white!. Increasing numbers of American Feminist woman have begun to take over corporate and network America and they are not friends of boxing. If both Doctor Klitschko were black these politically correct woman and their effeminate male cohorts would be compeled to cover and televise their fights. Few current and past world Champions are as competent in making their opposition look so inept. They are awkwardly deceptive and much better then they look as anyone who gets in the ring with them soon learns. They both have heavy hands and they are masterful boxers who can fight!. The medi blackballing and hating has hurt their marketability.

the vast majority of boxing fans in america are black or hispanic…races works against them in the usa…if they were black and had the same accomplishments and style, they would be idolized in america…their intelligence is also distrusted in an american age of virulent anti-intellectualism…and they are evidence that we may be inferior…they are intelligent, almost to genuis level…4 languages at last count, are handsome…and athletic…and they give of themselve to charities and are humble…in america all that is disgusting

I don’t know about the US not wanting them. HBO’s biggest ratings of 2009 was for Vitali-Arreola. Also a sell out I think at Staples Center? Against the right opponents there is interest. Wlad-Haye was to be on HBO as well before Haye ran away.

Dariusz Michalczewski (born 5 May 1968, in Gdańsk, Poland) is a Polish- German boxer and former WBO, WBA & IBF Light Heavyweight champion and WBO Cruiserweight Champion.
[] Early career
Michalczewski came up through Poland's state-run sports program as a boy and had a successful amateur career. He achieved an amateur record of 133-15-2 (83 KO's). Highlights of his amateur career include:- 1986 – European Junior Semi-Finalist in Middleweight division, defeating Fabrice Tiozzo but losing to Ray Close
- 1990 – German National Champion in Light Heavyweight division
- 1991 – European Champion in Light Heavyweight division
[edit] Defection to Germany
On 24 April 1988, while competing in Germany for the Polish national team, Michalczewski defected from the team to stay in Germany. Becoming a citizen of Germany in 1991 and turning professional the same year, he was soon signed by Universum Box-Promotion, one of the leading boxing promoters in Europe. His aggressive style earned him the nickname "The Tiger."[edit] Professional career
He won the German International Light Heavyweight (175-pound) title early on 13 February 1993, a title for foreign born fighters based in Germany. He then won the IBF Intercontinental championship on 22 May 1993. Finally, on 10 September 1994, Michalczewski captured the WBO Light Heavyweight title with a 12-round decision over defending champion Leeonzer Barber.Between then and March 2003, Michalczewski made 23 successful defenses of his WBO title and picked up three other belts along the way. Three months after beating Barber, he won the WBO Cruiserweight title with a knockout of Nestor Giovannini. However, he soon gave up that title to continue campaigning as a light heavyweight.
On 13 June 1997, he defeated Virgil Hill over 12 rounds to add Hill's WBA and IBF titles to his own. However, Michalczewski soon lost both alphabet titles. The WBA stripped him for displaying its belt along with that of the WBO, an organization it didn't recognize. The IBF did so a few weeks later, when Michalczewski was unable to defend his title against mandatory challenger William Guthrie within 30 days.
After beating Hill, Michalczewski knocked out 14 consecutive opponents, all in defense of his WBO titles. On 1998, he defeated Drake Thadzi and in 2000 he went to defeat Graciano Rocchigiani.
Darius would attempt for 6 years to secure a bout with his American counter-part, Roy Jones Jr, without success. After his titles were stripped from Darius for political reasons, Jones would win all the vacant belts and declare himself "world champion", even though historians continued to recognize Darius as the lineal champion. Jones steadfastly refused all offers for a lucrative fight with Darius and even made an attempt to ban the mention of Michalczewski's name on his home network, HBO. Seth Abraham, president and CEO of HBO, refused Jones demand and in 2002 a fan poll showed that the fight fans most wanted to see was Darius Michalczewski vs Roy Jones Jr. Jones continued to refuse offers for the fight however. One of his motivations may have been the insistence the fight be held in Europe, where Jones feared he could only win by a knockout.
Michalczewski had a perfect record of 48 wins and no losses when he faced Julio César González of Mexico in defense of his title on 18 October 2003. Coming into the fight, he was within one victory of tying Rocky Marciano's all-time record for an undefeated record by a world championship boxer. A win also would have put him just one victory short of Joe Louis' all-time record for successful defenses at any weight class. However, the now 35-year-old Michalczewski was unable to pull it off. He lost a controversial split decision to the 27-year-old Gonzalez at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg, and his career record dropped to 48-1.
Despite the loss, he still holds the record for the most consecutive successful title defenses at light heavyweight.
In October 2004, it was announced that Michalczewski would come out of retirement to fight France's Fabrice Tiozzo for the WBA light-heavyweight title on 26 February 2005, in Hamburg. He fought him but he lost, and then he declared the end of his career in May 2005.
Michalczewski was to come out of retirement to fight German boxing icon Sven Ottke in Germany in May 2008, but the bout never materialized.
[edit] In popular culture
- Polish Energy drink "Tiger" is named after the famous boxer. His picture and text "Recommended by Dariusz 'Tiger' Michalczewski" appears on the cans and bottles.
- Dariusz Michalczewski struck a friendship with performer Mark Wahlberg known at the time by his stage name Marky Mark of the formation Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. In 1995, Marky Mark released a track called No Mercy about his friend Dariusz Michalczewski including excerpts in Polish language from Dariusz who also appears in the video clip to the song.[1] No Mercy appears in the album The Remix Album by Prince Ital Joe and Marky Mark, although this particular track is a solo effort by Marky Mark.
- In 2006, a documentary was made by P.M.Starost . The 60-minute documentary entitled "Tiger"[2] took part in Filmfest München and won the award for the Best Documentary at the Biberacher Filmfestspiele.
Born in Szőreg, a southeastern suburb of Szeged in southern Hungary, Bugner and his family fled after the 1956 Soviet invasion and settled in England. Standing at 6'4" (1.93 m) with a prime weight of around 220 lb (99 kg),[1] Bugner twice held the British and British Commonwealth heavyweight titles and was a three time European heavyweight champion. He was ranked among the world's top ten heavyweights during the 1970s, fighting such opponents as Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Ron Lyle, Jimmy Ellis, Manuel Ramos, Chuck Wepner, Earnie Shavers, Henry Cooper, Brian London, Mac Foster, Rudi Lubbers, Eduardo Corletti, Jurgen Blin and Jose Luis Garcia. He fought for the world heavyweight championship in 1975, losing on points in a second bout with Ali.
Bugner retired from boxing in 1976, but over the next two decades he made sporadic comebacks with varying success. He relocated to Australia in 1986, adopting the nickname "Aussie Joe", beating fighters such as Greg Page, David Bey and James Tillis before retiring again after a TKO loss to Frank Bruno in 1987. He made a final comeback during the 1990s, winning the Australian heavyweight title in 1995 and the lightly regarded WBF heavyweight championship in 1998 at the age of 48 against Bonecrusher Smith. He retired for good in 1999 with a final record of 69-13-1, including 43 wins by knockout.
Jens Ingemar Johansson[2] (September 22, 1932 – January 30, 2009) was a Swedish boxer and former heavyweight champion of the world. Johansson was the fifth heavyweight champion born outside the United States. In 1959 he defeated Floyd Patterson by TKO in the third round, after flooring Patterson seven times in that round, to win the World Heavyweight Championship. As a result, Johansson won the Hickok Belt as top professional athlete of the year and was named the Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year and Sports Illustrated magazine's "Sportsman of the Year".
Johansson enjoyed a successful career as a heavyweight. When he retired in 1963 he had a record of 26 wins, 17 by KO, and only 2 losses. He called his right fist "toonder and lightning" for its concussive power (it was also called "Ingo's Bingo" and the "Hammer of Thor"), and in 2003 he was ranked at #99 on The Ring's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time.[ Fury turned professional with promoter Mick Hennessy in December 2008 and represents Great Britain[2] and Ireland.[4] His debut came at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham on the undercard of the Carl Froch and Jean Pascal fight for the WBC super middleweight title. In this fight Fury defeated Hungary's Bela Gyongyosi with a first round knock-out.[10]
His second fight was in January 2009, when Fury fought Germany's Marcel Zeller, a man with a record of 21 (20 KO) -3 losses. Fury won the fight by TKO after it was stopped in the third round. On 28 February 2009, Fury beat Russian Daniel Peret by retirement in the second round due to a large cut on Peret's eye in Norwich on the undercard of Jon Thaxton first defence of his European Lightweight title. Tyson beat Lee Swaby by retirement on 14 March 2009, at the Aston Events Centre in Birmingham on the undercard of 'Battle of Brum' where Wayne Elcock defended his British middleweight title against Matthew Macklin. On 11 April 2009, Fury beat Matthew Ellis at the York Hall by knock-out 48 seconds into the first round.
On 23 May 2009, Fury had his first eight round fight, he beat Scott Belshaw by second round TKO. Belshaw was down twice in the first round both times by body shots, in the second another body shot was landed by Fury which led referee Richard Davies to call a halt to the contest with 52 seconds of the second round gone.
Fury's next fight was due to take place on 12 June, however he suffered a back injury in training and the bout was cancelled. Fury returned to the ring on 18 July 2009, beating Aleksandrs Selezens in the 48th second of the 3rd round, despite the fight almost being cancelled due to Fury's continuing back injury.
The BBBofC decided that Fury would fight John McDermott for the English title before the end of November, with purse bids to be received before 8 July.[12] The fight was confirmed for 11 September at the Brentwood International Centre.[13]
Fury made an announcement that he wanted the win the British and Irish titles before the end of 2009 commenting that "I’d love to start out with the Irish and English titles and then move on to British, Commonwealth and European titles before going on to the world scene".[14]
Fury felt that his fight against Belfast's Scott Belshaw should have earned him an Irish title but outlined that "I thought it was worthy of it but you need to have been in a scheduled 8 rounder to fight for the Irish belt and the Belshaw fight was my first." A number of potential opponents have been linked with a potential Irish fight, including Declan Timlin and Coleman Barrett. Fury's uncle and trainer, Hughie Fury, claimed "When Tyson was an amateur he was a member of the Smithboro club in County Monaghan but none of the Irish Super heavyweights wanted to know about him and it will be the same in the pros. He’d fight Timlin and Barrett in the same night, they’d be no match for him".[14] Keith Walker, acting as the manager for Barrett responded "Colman will fight Tyson today and every other day. We don’t perceive Tyson Fury has any threat whatsoever".[15]
Tyson said of the pair, "the challenge is out there for them so if they want it then we can get it on for the Irish title as soon as possible. I’ll take on any Irish heavyweight out there, all I want is the opportunity to fight for the Irish title."[16]
On 11 September, Fury controversially beat John McDermott with a disputed points decision. Both boxers stated they would like a rematch. Many boxing observers scored the contest in favour of McDermott, and Promoter Frank Warren labelled referee Terry O'Connor a "disgrace to British Boxing" after his decision.[17][18]
On 26 September, Fury made his Irish debut as the undercard of Bernard Dunne versus Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym at The O2.[3] He dedicated his performance to the memory of Darren Sutherland.[3]
Fury vacated the English title due to a broken hand sustained in the victory over Tomas Mrazek.
[19] [20] On June 26, 2010 Fury faced old rival John McDermott for the vacant English heavyweight title, the fight would also be a British heavyweight title fight eliminator. Fury started the fight well catching McDermott with solid punches. In round 6 Fury started to tire and was cut above his right eye near the end of the round after an accidental clash of heads. In round 7 Fury carried on holding McDermott, consequently he was deducted a point by referee Dave Parris. In 8th Fury floored the Essex man with a short right hook. In the 9th round Fury took advantage of a tired McDermott dropping him another two times before the fight was called to a halt [10][21] at 1 minute 8 seconds of the 9th round.[19] All three judges had the contest 77-73 going into the ninth round. Winning this fight gave Tyson the English Heavyweight title and a chance to face unbeaten heavyweight prospect and British heavyweight champion Derek Chisora.
Aleksander Vladimirovich Povetkin (Russian: Алекса́ндр Влади́мирович Пове́ткин; born September 2, 1979 in Kursk, Soviet Union) is a Russian boxer. His height is 188 cm (6 ft 2 in). Because of his amateur success, as well as his early pro accomplishments, he is seen as a leading contender in professional boxing's Heavyweight division.
[edit] Amateur
After a successful amateur kickboxing career that included winning World Junior championship in 1997, World title in 1999 and a European professional kickboxing title in 2000, Povetkin won his first major boxing tournament at the Russian Championships in 2000 at the age of 21. This would be the beginning of several major amateur tournaments Povetkin would go on to win including; the Good Will Games in Brisbane, Australia in 2001; the 34th European Championship in 2002; the XII World Championship in 2003 held in Thailand; and the 35th European Championship in 2004. His amateur success would culminate in winning the gold medal at super-heavyweight (>91 kg) boxing at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, in a walkover match over Egyptian Mohamed Aly. After taking Olympic Gold, he concluded his amateur career with a record of 125-7, with all losses avenged.[1]

Tommy David Morrison (born January 2, 1969) is an American heavyweight boxer and a former World Boxing Organization champion. He lost only three out of a total of 52 professional fights. Morrison's nickname, "The Duke," is based on disputed claims that he is a grandnephew of Hollywood star John Wayne.[1] Morrison was a co-star with Sylvester Stallone in the 1990 boxing movie Rocky V.
Morrison's professional boxing career effectively ended when he tested positive for HIV in 1996. Beginning in 2006, Morrison attempted a comeback, stating that he did not have HIV and, later, that HIV is a "myth." His claims are refuted by boxing and medical authorities.[2][3]
After his enforced retirement in 1996, Morrison has been charged with multiple assault, weapon, intoxication, and drug offenses. He was sentenced to jail on several occasions, and served part of one sentence in 2000-2001. Morrison is of Scottish decent
Luke Tyson Fury (born 1 June 1988), more commonly known as Tyson Fury, is a British professional boxer who fights in the heavyweight division.[2][4] He has represented both Ireland and England at amateur level and won the ABA championship in 2008 before turning professional later that year. He is the current English heavyweight champion.
Background
Fury was born in Wythenshawe, Manchester, England to an Irish Traveller family who have a long history in boxing and bare knuckle boxing.[5] His father is from Tuam, County Galway and his maternal grandmother is from County Tipperary.[3] He is a cousin of Andy Lee.[3] His father named him "Tyson" after the then world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.[5]
The two brothers from Ukraine have written boxing history. Their rise into the Champions League of boxing is unique. But also outside of the ring the two sons of a colonel, who both finished their studies with a PhD in sports education, are intriguing people with their charm and intelligence. They are popular testimonials and use their positive influence to support several charity projects.

When 13-year-old Vitali put on a pair of boxing gloves for the very first time, nobody could have imagined that he would become one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time. Vitali started his career as a successful Kickboxer – he became a six-time Kickboxing-World-Champion, twice as an amateur und four times as a professional. It was not before later when Vitali discovered his passion for boxing and quite fast he was very successful too: As an amateur he became Ukrainian Heavyweight Champion three times, champion of the first World Military Games and winner of the silver medal at the amateur world championships. In 1996 Vitali left the amateur stage behind and his professional record since then is impressive: 38 fights, 36 wins with 35 KOs! Vitali won his first important title on October 24th 1998. In a fight for the European championship he defeated Mario Schießer by TKO in Round 2. This victory paved the way towards his ultimate goal – a shot at the World Heavyweight Title! On June 25th 1999 this dream became reality. After knocking out Herbie Hide in round 2, Vitali had became WBO-Heavyweight Champion of the world!
Unfortunately Vitali lost the WBO-Title on April 21st 2000 to Chris Byrd. In round nine unlucky Vitali had to quit due to a severe injury to his shoulder. Until that moment Vitali was well ahead on all three judges scorecards. But this setback could not slow down his hunger and ambitions and on June 22nd 2003 Vitali got another title shot – this time against Lennox Lewis. But once again good fortune was not on his side. After a fantastic fight, that earned Vitali great sympathies all over the world, the referee stopped the fight on advice of the ringside physician. The reason was a deep cut underneath Vitali´s left eyebrow that may have caused permanent damage if the fight had continued. Once again at the time the fight was stopped, Vitali was leading on the scorecards.
On April 24th 2004 at Staples Center in Los Angeles Vitali fought Corrie Sanders for the belt of the World Boxing Council (WBC). After a difficult and entertaining fight Vitali finally won by TKO in round 8. At the same time he took his successful revenge for the loss his brother Wladimir had suffered against the South African about a year ago. But at the height of his boxing abilities Vitali had to sustain several more injuries. After successfully defending his WBC-Title against Danny Williams, a scheduled title fight against Hasim Rahman had to be postponed several times before finally being cancelled. Vitali was truly plagued by injuries in 2005. After a back-surgery and tears of a meniscus and a cruciate ligament in his right knee Vitali Klitschko decided on November 9th 2005 to retire as reigning WBC-Heavyweight Champion of the world. Consequently Vitali was appointed Champion Emeritus by the WBC, a status that enables him, in case of a comeback, to challenge the current WBC-World Champion right away.
1400 days as Champion Emeritus Vitali Klitschko returned to the boxing ring on October, 11, 2008 in Berlin. His opponent was the reigning WBC-Champion, Samuel “The Nigerian Nightmare” Peter from Nigeria. With an impressive performance, Vitali regained the WBC-belt for the second time after 2004 by TKO when Samuel Peter did not return to the ring after round 8. Thus Vitali Klitschko is the fourth boxer alongside Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis to win a heavyweight belt for the third time.
Since then, Vitali sucessfully defended his title four times: Juan Carlos Gomez (March 2009), Cristobal Arreola (September 2009), Kevin Johnson (December 2009), Albert Sosnowski (May 2010), and Shannon Briggs (October 2010

Why boxer Klitchko is so unbeatable?
Why nobody can beat recent world boxing champ V.Klitchko?
It's not even interesting anymore to watch his fights - he always wins...
What are his weak points?

Wladimir
Wlad's weak point is obvious, it's his chin. Vitali's weakness is his lateral movement, he is a dangerous boxer, but he tends to be a stand up pressure fighter who comes after his opponents with pressure. A quick, speedy heavyweight in shape would out box Vitali rather easily. Wlad is actually a better boxer than Vitali, but Vitali is far and away the tougher of the two. It would be an interesting match if they fought each other, I think Wlad would be way ahead on points when Vitali KOed him. Neither are unbeatable, but so long as they pick the right opponents, nobody will, talent is scarce in the heavyweight division, so scarce even a Samoan slugger almost 50 is looked upon as a threat.

Wladimir developed his passion for boxing at the age of 14. Only three years later he was already European champion in his age division and started building a successful amateur career that included to be a five time boxing champion of Ukraine and a first place in the Military World Championships. But his outstanding achievement during his amateur career was the gold medal in the super heavyweight division during the Olympic games of 1996 in Atlanta.
Wladimir gave his professional debut on November 16th 1996 against poor Fabian Meza, who was knocked out already in the first round. On September 25th 1999 Wladimir battered a helpless Axel Schulz and became European Heavyweight Champion by knocking out the German in the eight round. He reached his ultimate goal to become Heavyweight Champion of the World by easily outpointing awkward WBO-Champion Chris Byrd on October 14th 2000. Five and a half years later Wladimir and Byrd faced each other in the ring again, this time battling for the IBO- and IBF-Belts. And again the Ukrainian dominated the fight, this time ending the night early and scoring a brutal TKO victory. On February 23rd 2008 Wladimir wrote a piece of boxing history by beating WBO-Champion Sultan Ibragimov over 12 rounds in the first unification bout in almost a decade.
